Industrial-Grade 3D Printing Materials

POLYMERS / COMPOSITES

* Materials allow for continuous fiber infills, see below

Multi-Jet Fusion (MJF)

  • Nylon PA12 - Robust thermoplastic produces high-density parts with balanced property profiles and strong structures.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)

  • Onyx   - Onyx is a micro carbon fiber filled nylon. It’s 1.4 times stronger and stiffer than ABS and can be reinforced with any continuous fiber.

  • Onyx FR - Onyx FR is a Blue Card certified UL94 V-0 material that possesses similar mechanical properties to Onyx. It’s best for applications in which flame retardancy, light weight, and strength are required.

  • Nylon (White) - Nylon White parts are smooth, non-abrasive, and easily painted. They can be reinforced with any continuous fiber and work best for non-marring work holding, repeated handling, and cosmetic parts.

  • Precise PLA  - Based on the most common 3D printing prototyping material, Precise PLA 3D prints without warping and comes in a variety of colors. Best of all, it’s affordable.

METALS

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)

  • 316L - Corrosion resistant stainless steel with wrought material like properties.

Bound Powder Extrusion (BPE)

  • 17-4  - Typical usage is seen in applications requiring high strength and a modest level of corrosion resistance. Strength and toughness desired can be manipulated by temperate range in the heat treatment process.

  • A2 - It offers a combination of good wear resistance (between O1 and D2) and toughness. Considered relatively easy to machine in the annealed condition, it has a high compression strength and good dimensional stability during hardening and tempering.

  • D2 - offers excellent wear resistance and is widely used in cold work applications that require sharp edges, abrasion resistance, and compressive strength.

  • H13   - Used for aluminum zinc casting dies, as well as for aluminum extrusion, aluminum die casting and press tooling

https://cdn.hibuwebsites.com/3a691427611743b7a625ae70d959ae5e/files/uploaded/H1- used for aluminum and zinc casting dies, as well as for aluminum extrusion, aluminum die casting and press tooling.

  • Inconel 625 - nickel-chromium based super alloy that is highly resistant to corrosion and high temperatures.

  • Copper  - it’s primarily used for its thermal and electrical conductivity instead of its mechanical properties (strength, stiffness, or hardness).

ENHANCE YOUR MATERIAL PROPERTIES

FIBER INLAYS

Add continuous fiber to your 3d printed parts (select materials).  This fiber inlay can greatly increase the mechanical properties of your part. We offer Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, and HSHT Fiberglass.

METAL INFILL

Through BPE technology customers can decrease the weight of their part up to 40% without any modifications to your file. Utilizing infill is a quick easy way to reduce weight and maintain specific geometry mechanical properties.
